Meet Our Team

Dr. Oleksandr Ielisov (Dr. Alex)

Dr. Alex began his dental journey in Ukraine, graduating from Bogomolets National Medical University in 2007. After eight years practicing as a general dentist, he moved to Canada in 2015. While preparing for the National Dental Examining Board of Canada (NDEB), he worked as a dental technician, gaining invaluable insight into the precision and artistry behind restorations. In 2021, he joined Greenwoods Dental Center in Winnipeg, and today he is proud to own Gelios Dental Clinic. Patients value his skill, compassion, and dedication to international standards of care.

Dr. Rufus Abubaker

Dr. Rufus is a general dentist who graduated from India in 2014, then moved to Canada and successfully completed his NDEB equivalency process in 2018. He has been practicing in Winnipeg since October 2018 and is passionate about providing quality care to his patients. He performs a variety of procedures — including root canal therapy, implants, and veneers — just to name a few. In his free time, he likes riding his motorcycle and travelling. He also enjoys the outdoors and tries to make the most of Summer in Winnipeg. Dr. Rufus looks forward to helping you with all things dental and hopes to keep you at ease by providing a stress-free and friendly experience.

Dr. Amit Rekhi

Dr. Amit Rekhi completed his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree with honours at the University of Toronto in 2021. He is currently undergoing specialty training in orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics at the University of Manitoba in Winnipeg. Before moving to Winnipeg for school, Dr. Amit worked in Southern Ontario as a general dentist. He likes all aspects of general dentistry and has a particular interest in orthodontics. In his spare time, he likes to travel and spend time outdoors. Dr. Amit speaks English, Hindi and Punjabi.

Anastasiia Baidaliuk

Orthodontic treatment plan coordinator, Lead assistant

Anastasiia brings a wealth of international experience and passion for orthodontics to our Winnipeg clinic. She graduated from the National Memorial Medical University in Vinnytsya, Ukraine in 2018 and spent six years working as an orthodontist-gnathologist and lecturer before moving to Canada in 2024. Since her arrival, Anastasiia has earned her dental assistant license and quickly became the lead orthodontic assistant at Gelios Dental Winnipeg. In addition, she volunteers at the University of Manitoba Dental Clinic’s orthodontic department while preparing to confirm her doctor’s license in Canada. Patients appreciate Anastasiia for her kindness, professionalism, and dedication to making every visit comfortable and stress-free.
